Meet the Team
About Our Founder
“Born and raised in Middlesbrough, I spent my youth playing grassroots football, kickboxing, and running long distances for my country. These activities formed the foundation of my early life, continuing through secondary school and college before I enlisted in the Armed Forces, joining the Corps of the Royal Engineers.
Joining the Army provided me with life skills that I still use and stand by today: communication, trust, discipline, hard work, respect, and integrity. These values paved the way for my military career, which led to an early promotion while serving in Iraq.
After leaving the Army, I completed a three-year joinery apprenticeship with my first civilian company and began working in the shipbuilding and oil and gas sectors. There, I had the privilege of building Navy ships such as aircraft carriers, modular cabins, and research vessels.
Following redundancy, I transitioned into building sites and social housing to gain more skills and knowledge about the industry. During this journey, I have predominantly worked in the private sector and on government contracts. Along the way, I have earned new qualifications, including NEBOSH health and safety, fire door inspections, and management certifications.
Once I clock out of work, I am a family man who enjoys long walks with the dog. I am an avid supporter of the mighty Boro and also play rugby for Redcar RU, scuba dive with Stockton Divers, play golf, and enjoy social nights out.”

Serving Our Community
At ALM Property Management 1 UK, we strive to give back to our local community in Middlesbrough. Ashley established the Eagles grassroots football team in 2004 and coached the team until 2014. We also support local events and charities, such as Kicks for Cancer and Maxi’s Mates Dog Rescue.
